Speaker of Parliament discusses preparation of elections process with Norwegian ambassador
H. E. Speaker of the National Assembly, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir discussed with H.E. Norwegian ambassador to Sudan, Seven Vivien in attendance of Chairperson of Foreign Relations Committee, Osman Khalid Mudawi, the procedure of comprehensive peace process and preparation for the conduct of elections.
Mr. Al-Tahir emphasized in the meeting the importance of conducting referendum for South Sudan citizens in the framework of government that would step town. Mr. Al-Tahir called up the necessity of harmony on outstanding issues between the National Congress Party and SPLA, in order to pass a number of significant Bills, which would be among numbers of prerequisites of implementing peace agreement and coming political developments, pointing out that differences in view points developments within SPLA would impede to reach agreement as regards outstanding issues, affirming that term of the parliament is nearly elapsed.



Norwegian ambassador in Khartoum assured the importance of harmony on controversial issues, especially Referendum Bill, and Conduct of elections, pointing out to security status, and poor elections registration turnout in South Sudan States, which have been recently visited.
