Al-Tahir acquaints with arrangements for Arab Parliamentarians visit to Gaza Strip
Right Honorable Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir, Speaker of the National Assembly discussed arrangements for the convention of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union conference scheduled for the coming month in Cairo.


This was reviewed during his meeting with Mr. Nouredin Bouskog, Secretary General of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union. Mr. Al-Tahir was acquainted with issues that will be subject for discussion on top of which is situations in Palestine in the light of the siege imposed thereon by Israel in addition to Egyptian efforts to realize reconciliation between FATAH Movement and HAMAS Movement.

The Speaker of the National Assembly asserted the importance of the conference, indicating the importance of supporting the Palestine issue and endeavoring to expose the Zionist practices aiming at judaizing Jerusalem and excavations going on under the Holy precinct.

On the other hand, Mr. Boushkog acquainted the Speaker of the National Assembly with arrangements for the visit orgainsed by the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union to a parliamentary delegation representing all the Arab Parliamentary to Gaza Strip during mid of the month, expressing support of the Arab Parliamentarians to people of Gaza against the siege they are subjected to.

The delegation is expected to present before the Cairo conference, a report on situations in Gaza Strip.

On the other hand Mr. Boushkog commended arrangements made by the Egyptian People’s Assembly for convention of the forthcoming Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union conference and visit of the Arab Parliamentarians delegation to Gaza Strip.
