
The National Legislative Body of Sudanese Parliamentary Women has elected Ustaz Samia Hassan Seed Ahmed as Chairperson for the second time. This took place during the convening of the first session of the National Legislature at the National Assembly. The said session was chaired by Ustaz Fouzeeia Abbas, with the election of Ustaz Bronka Lewis was elected by the (SPLM) as deputy chairperson representing the (SPLM) for the said Legislative Body.
Moreover, the session has approved the organizational basis for the National Legislative Body of Sudanese Parliamentary Women for (2007), amended (2010) by introducing slight changes in one of its articles.
Ustaz Samia praised the members of the Legislative Body of all political orientation, urging them to work as one bloc, so as to protect Women interests, through all international Parliamentary festivities.
Finally, the said session has approved the appointment of the executive members of the committee, to be consisted of a chairperson, deputy chairperson and ten specialized offices, in addition to other three expert members, including (SPLM) Women-representatives, to be named later.
