The National Assembly Affairs Committee held today an enlarged meeting chaired by Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Atem Garang, in which he tackled the action plan of the Standing Committees during the recess of the Assembly.

The chairpersons of the committees assured the need to visit the states and inspect their important issues of concern to citizens, particularly the issues of peace, unity and issues of living, including rising prices and problems in health, water, land and grievances.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly called upon the meeting to address all issues relating to the business of their Committees, depending on the competence of each and prepare reports to the Assembly when its session convenes in next October.
