The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ustaz Hagu Gasm El-Seid confirmed Sudan’s interest in scientific researches in the area of development. This came when he addressed this morning the Parliamentary Round-Table held in the National Assembly, which was organized by NA Instruction, Education and Scientific Research Committee (IESRC) in cooperation with the African Technology Policy Studies Network (ATPS) and the Industrial Research and consultancy, center (IRCC).

Secretary General of the National Assembly Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed Ibrahim handed this afternoon graduation certificates to the graduates of the 106th session organized by el-Saadah Center for Training and Human & Psychological Development in cooperation with the Department of Human Resources of the National Assembly.

Abu-Baker Musa Mohammed Adam has been sworn in today’s’ sitting as a new Parliamentarian representing Western Kasala Geographical District (2) before the Speaker of the National Assembly Ustaz/ Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir.
The Assembly has also conveyed the approved International Transport Bill to the specialized committee for study and for making a report on the said Bill.
The Assembly has also dropped the membership of three Parliamentarians affiliated with South Kurdufan’s People Movement for being absent. The said members are:
· Ammar Amoon ODuldoom
· David Koku Tuto
· Dr. Ahmed Abd-Al-Ruhman Saaid
Other remaining (P.M) members have been retained.

The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Mr. Hajo Gasm Al-Sid chaired today the Meeting of the Coordination and Drafting Committee that dealt with the 2012 General Budget Draft Bill.
Mr. Hajo pointed out that the committee had finalized today the discussions on the 2012 budget Bill at the 3rd Reading Stage arriving at an agreement with the Ministry of Finance on maintaining the current government subsidy grant to gasoline prices. The M.O.F. will deliver other alternatives for lifting the subsidy to the National Assembly later. Mr. Hajo indicated that the M.O.F. will put forward a time-schedule for lifting Government subsidies on various commodities.
